Bracket

An exhaust bracket connects exhaust parts to the frame. In some cases, rubber exhaust hangers are used between the bracket and the frame. Exhaust brackets can help guide and locate the parts of the exhaust. Most include an exhaust insulator to dampen vibrations. Parts of the exhaust bracket are made of steel and can rust or crack with age. If you notice a loud banging noise under the car, check your exhaust brackets and hangers.
