Header Gasket

An exhaust header reduces exhaust back pressure by providing a separate exhaust tube for each port on the engine. This increases the air flow of the exhaust which can increase gas mileage and horsepower. Because headers run hotter and vibrate more, header gaskets are more susceptible to vibrations and leaks than a normal exhaust manifold gasket. If you install a set of headers on your vehicle, a set of header gaskets is also a good idea. These exhaust gaskets are made from a higher temperature rated materials including aluminum and copper and provide a better seal for headers.
