Air Conditioning High Side Charging Adapter

Your A/C high side charging adapter allows a charging manifold to be connected to the A/C compressor to recharge the refrigerant in your vehicle. This may be necessary if you have a refrigerant leak, or after servicing the A/C system. High side charging adapters are made to withstand the high pressures from refrigerant being cycled through the compressor. Low side charging adapters are not subjected to this high level of pressure. A charging adapter that doesn't seal completely could leak refrigerant or may allow moisture into the A/C system. This may cause your A/C to not blow cold, your compressor to stop cycling, or it may cause further damage to your A/C system.
