CV Half Shaft Seal

Your CV shaft seal is located where the CV shaft attaches to the transaxle. The CV shaft seal keeps fluid from leaking from the transaxle by sealing around the CV shaft. It may be damaged by debris or dry out, crack, or split, which may cause a transmission leak. If you notice a leak, or your transmission doesn't go into gear or shift properly, check your seals including the CV shaft seal. A transmission leak can also cause slipping gears and a lack of lubrication inside the transmission or transaxle case, which can ruin the transmission.
