Steering Knuckle

The steering knuckle serves as a pivot point for the steering system so the vehicle's wheels can turn. Depending on your vehicle’s suspension system, the steering knuckle may include a spindle that connects to the upper and lower ball joints, or directly connects the strut assembly to the lower ball joint. The steering knuckle itself rarely fails unless damaged in a wreck. More often it is the other components like ball joints, bearings, control arm bushings, or tie rods that can wear out over time.
