Spark Plug Tube

A spark plug tube allows the spark plug to be accessed from the top of the valve cover. Through tube seals on the top and bottom of the spark tube, oil is prevented from escaping the valve cover or cylinder head and getting on the spark plug. If you notice leaking around the top of the spark plug tube around the seal, you may need to replace your spark plug tubes, seals, or spark plugs. If oil gets on the spark plugs, it may cause issues with the spark, such as misfires or a dead cylinder.
