Water Pump Inlet Tube

The water pump inlet tube is usually located at the bottom of the water pump and pulls coolant from the radiator into the engine. Over time and due to heat cycling, the water pump inlet tube can corrode and leak. This may also allow corrosion to enter your engine through the coolant. If you notice a leak at the water pump inlet tube, it should be replaced. Some may be threaded into the water pump while others may seal with an O-ring and/or hose clamp. If the water pump inlet tube shows no signs of corrosion, the clamp or O-ring replacement may fix the problem.
