Fuel Water Separator Valve

The fuel-water separator valve allows you to drain water that is collected by fuel filter or water separator to keep water from contaminating the rest of the fuel. Diesel fuel naturally absorbs water over time, and the fuel-water separator valve attaches to the fuel filter or water separator, and includes a valve or petcock that can be opened to drain excess water from the fuel filter. Fuel filters should be replaced frequently to keep your fuel clean and your engine performing well. If you notice your fuel filter is clogging faster than it should, or there is more water than usual in your fuel mixture or water separator, you may want to check your fuel-water separator valve.
