Radiator Mount

A radiator mount acts as a frame for your radiator and holds it in place while you drive. This mount also serves as a shock mount for the radiator to isolate it from the frame. They are often made of rubber, plastic, metal, or a combination of these materials. Over time, a radiator mount can break down from wear and tear, or may break if the front end of the vehicle is damaged. Without a mount, the radiator may be able to move freely and cause damage to the radiator itself, fans, hoses, or the engine. Clunking from under the hood when going over bumps or coolant leaks may mean you need to check your radiator and radiator mount.
