Battery - Watch, Calculator, Keyless Entry

The remote control included with your vehicle has several functions. It likely includes buttons to lock and unlock your vehicle and an alarm button. But your key fob may also be programmed to your ignition to prevent theft. The keyless entry remote has an internal battery, much like a watch or calculator, that can lose charge over time. When that happens, it can easily be replaced. If your key fob has stopped working or if your car won't start, and you notice a security light on the dash, this may be as simple as replacing your battery.
